Dockland Settlements are always keen to recruit volunteers who can help in the following areas:
Volunteer in Playwork - Helping to look after the children at our playcare centres in either Stratford or Isle of Dogs , being able to work as a team, provide fun activities for the children (e.g. arts and crafts) encourage fair behaviour between children and being able to meet the childrens needs.
Cooking - Being able to cook for a large amount of children at both of our play care centres or cook for the elderly people who attend our Stratford centre.
Mini Bus Driver - Being able to drive a mini bus and drop some of our play care children to and from school.
Corporate Volnteers Days - One or two days of volunteering where a team of volunteers from a large or small business come down to one of our centres to help us with things from painting, to organising christmas events for the play care children or gardening.
Coaching - We are always keen to hear from qualified sports coaches willing to volunteer and give their time to helping improve the fitness, health and wellbeing of the local community. For example coaching our disabled football team at Stratford and Rotherhithe.
